Proxim is a leader and early innovator in WiMAX and pre-WiMAX,
a technology for providing high-speed, long-range broadband
wireless access to complement Wi-Fi. Our products are based on
a picocell approach of low-cost, all-in-one base stations and
subscriber units, making this technology affordable to a wide
range of service providers -- global or local, rural or
metropolitan. The MP.16 operates in the 3.5 GHz licensed
frequency band, while the MP.11 operates in the 2.4 GHz, 5.4
GHz and 5.8 GHz unlicensed frequency bands. This product line
was recognized by Frost & Sullivan with a 2006 Product
Innovation Award. |
